Chantilly Academy Student Earns Award at National FCCLA Conference


Alison Litvin of Chantilly Academy was one of  eight students from three Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) high schools  to earn national recognition at the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) 2011 National Leadership Conference held recently in Anaheim, CA.

 

 

Alison Litvin of Chantilly Academy earned a Silver Medal in Chapter Service Project Display.  Students must use Family and Consumer Sciences content and skills to address and take action on a community need via an in-depth service project that serves families, schools, and communities. 

 

 

Over 3,500 students advanced from the local, regional, and state level to compete for national top honors in 28 Family and Consumer Sciences-related FCCLA competitive events.  FCCLA is a national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
