FCPS Facilities Planning Advisory Council Continues Listening Tour at Herndon Elementary School

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) Facilities Planning Advisory Council (FPAC) will host community meetings on Tuesday, December 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Herndon Elementary School and Lake Braddock Secondary School as part of its listening tour series.

The FPAC began the listening tour in the spring to give community members an opportunity to share their concerns and ideas about facilities issues. The December 6 meetings, which conclude this series of meetings, are focused on listening to the community members of Clusters I and VI schools, but any resident is welcome to attend.

FPAC advises the Fairfax County School Board and staff members on long-term plans for facilities needs. Its members are made up of 13 Fairfax County residents—one from each magisterial district, three at-large members, and one from the City of Fairfax.

People interested in attending the listening tour meetings are encouraged to register at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LFWWKFK or to call the Facilities Planning Office at 571-423-2330.

Complete information about FPAC, including its meeting schedule and contact information, also is available at http://www.fcps.edu/fts/planning/fpac/index.shtml.
