The Westfield 5K Run for Scholarships is now in its 11th year and has raised over $60,000 in scholarships for WHS graduates.  The 5K Committee is seeking participants for this year's run, which will be held this Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 8 a.m.

As in years past, the certified race-course takes runners and walkers through the beautiful Westfield Business Park in Centreville.  Overall and age group Winners of the 5K will receive awards.  All proceeds from the WHS 5K run will be used to fund scholarships for Westfield seniors.  The Westfield 5K is a great way to get your family and/or friends involved in a fun and healthy event for a great cause-please help us spread the word!

Runners and walkers can register for the race via the WHS 5K website:  http://ptsa.westfieldhs.org/5k-homepage.html.  There is an online registration option as well as a registration form that can be downloaded and mailed to WHS.

Race Day registration is available from 6:30 to 7:30 am  on the 17th.  Registration costs are $18 for all FCPS students and $28 for all others.

Packet pick-up will be held Friday, September 16th from 5:30 to 7:00 pm and 6:30 to 7:30 am on the 17th.
