Chantilly Resident Nominated for Volunteer Award

Ronda Dalton is being recognized for her volunteer work with local nonprofit, Fancy Cats Rescue Team.

Ronda Dalton will be honored at the Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards on Thursday, April 14, at the Waterford at Springfield in Springfield for her work with Fancy Cats Rescue Team

Dalton is nominated for two awards: "Adult Volunteer, Over 250 Hours" and "Benchmark 1,000". 

The awards will be presented at the breakfast ceremony by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.  C.D. Glin, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs & Partnerships for the Peace Corps, will be the keynote speaker, and ABC7/WJLA-TV Anchor, Cynné Simpson, will serve as the emcee.

“Volunteerism brings together a diverse range of people with varied backgrounds. The language of service is one that can be understood by all people,” said Jeanne Sanders, Executive Director of Volunteer Fairfax. “The Fairfax County Volunteer Service Awards provide an opportunity to recognize those that are bridging the gap between communities and societies through volunteering."
