Radio's Jack Diamond: Dropping Hints of Return to the Airwaves?

Fans are hoping to hear popular radio host back on the air soon.

Will Jack Diamond radio fans soon be saying "Love your new show babe!?"

When Diamond left 107.3-FM April 26, it was his last day on the air at WRQX, after 24 years, unbeknownst to listeners. Once they figured out what had happened, Diamond's fans took to social media to show their displeasure with the station's decision, posting on 107.3's Facebook pageDiamond's Facebook page and on Twitter.

In the meantime, fans gather on Diamond's Facebook page, where they can stay in touch with Diamond, and vice versa.

Although Diamond fans are hoping their favorite radio host will return to morning drive soon, there isn't anything concrete to report...yet.

But that's not stopping fans from speculating or Diamond from dropping hints.

Messages by Diamond on his Facebook page Tuesday and Wednesday suggest a new radio show might be in the works sometime soon.

On Tuesday, Diamond, who was on an extended overseas trip and posting photos on his Facebook page, said:

"It is so good to be back home and back in touch with you. Missed hanging out with you here on Facebook and on the Radio. We'll fix both soon : )"

On Wednesday, Diamond said: "Been working hard today on many projects. Including the next incarnation of our Radio Show!!!"

Chilli and Jack?

Fans asked if Diamond was headed to WASH-FM, where Diamond Show alumni Chilli Amar is on the air during the morning drive from 5-9 a.m.

Facebook readers were even trying to read into a a photo posted by Diamond, of a Jack Daniels bottle, a glass of ice and a can of Coca-Cola, guessing that Diamond (Jack Daniels) might be planning to go on WASH-FM with Chilli (ice cubes).

In response to a question from a fan on whether he's going to WASH-FM, Diamond told him: "I...could...end...up...anywhere. I am Free and Clear, baby!"

Hmmmm. Reading the tea leaves: Could that be a reference to Clear Channel, owner of WASH-FM? The company owns more than 1,200 radio stations and has been in the news this week after it inked a deal with Fleetwood Mac in a first-of-its-kind revenue-sharing deal.

A new anthem for fans?

Fleetwood Mac's: "Don't Stop" (Thinking About Tomorrow) almost seems like the perfect anthem for Diamond fans:

"Don't stop, thinking about tomorrow,
Don't stop, it'll soon be here,
It'll be, better than before,
Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone."

And on a side note—fellow 107.3-FM host Rob Carson has also left that station, according to comments on his Twitter feed. "Two weeks ago today [June 4] I became blissfully out of work...big announcement coming soon," he wrote. Plus: "I've had this song running through my mind A LOT lately:" with a link to a song.."I'm Free," by the Soup Dragons.
