No Serious Injuries in School Bus Accident in Chantilly

Tuesday afternoon accident involving Greenbriar East Elementary students results in one "minor injury" police say.

A vehicle collided with a school bus from Greenbriar East Elementary school Tuesday afternoon in Chantilly, but the students escaped injury, Fairfax County Police spokesman Lt. John Trace said.

Police did not have information on details of the crash or who might have been at fault. Roads were slicked with rain after a steady drizzle fell in the area throughout the day.

The accident, which took place at the intersection of Majestic Lane and Point Pleasant Drive, about 300 feet from the school, was called in to police at 4:08 p.m. No one was seriously injured in the accident.

Police reported one minor injury but were uncertain who was injured; reportedly none of the students were injured.

I'd bet money that the driver of the other vehicle had a cell phone in their hand or pressed up to their cheek by their shoulder.
