Key to Awesomeness: Each year NOVEC presents scholarships to outstanding high school seniors in Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William and Stafford counties and the City of Manassas Park. Winners are selected based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities, work experience, community service and demonstrated leadership qualities.
A dozen scholarship winners from the Class of 2011 were chosen from a pool of over 100 applicants. Four of these winning students attended school in the Chantilly area:

- Bradley Gross graduated from Westfield High with a 4.4 GPA.
- Nicholas Montgomery graduated from Freedom High in with a 4.75 GPA. He will attend Virginia Tech in the fall.
- Anna Power graduated from Westfield High School with a 3.96 GPA. She will attend Lehigh University in the fall.
- William Squire II graduated from Freedom High School with a 4.38 GPA. He will attend Yale University in the fall.
“The Dollars for Scholars program helps students fulfill their desire for a college education,” said NOVEC public and government relations liaison Donna Snellings. “The scholarship program signifies NOVEC’s commitment to the education of students in our communities.”
