 dition for our Award  Winning Competition Team&rsquo\;s 2012-2013 Compet
 itive Season! Dancers  should have a strong background in ballet and jaz
 z in order to audition  for the following year's team. &nbsp\;Dancers sh
 ould arrive in appropriate  ballet attire (black leotard\, pink tights\,
  with hair in a bun) and bring  all styles of current dance shoes (jazz\
 , ballet\, and tap). &nbsp\;Interested  audition participants must call 
 the Chantilly Studio at (703) 378-1800  to reserve a space. 6:00PM on We

 e Dance Center Competition Team consists of approximately 140  boys and 
 girls ranging in age from 4 to 18. &nbsp\;The dancers compete  regionall
 y and nationally in Lyrical\, Jazz\, Tap\, and Contemporary  categories.
  &nbsp\;Required classes for CDC*CT members are Ballet\, Jazz\, and  Lyr
 ical. &nbsp\;Tap is optional. &nbsp\;The team has won numerous top award
 s at both  the Regional and National levels. &nbsp\;Youth dancers on the
  team have won  dance training scholarships at conventions and workshops
 . Although  The Creative Dance Center Competition Team program&rsquo\;s 
 primary focus  providing a strong dance education\, the program stresses
  the principles  of strong teamwork: &nbsp\;working hard towards mutual 
 goals\, building  positive team spirit\, and supporting other dancers. &
 nbsp\;In addition\, our  dancers are provided opportunities to volunteer
  and/or perform for  various charitable community projects. The  Creativ
 e Dance Center Competition Team has earned esteemed accolades  and natio
 nal titles for their athleticism and artistry. &nbsp\;In 2011 alone\,  t
 hese include: &nbsp\;Top 10 Studios Nationwide by the Federation of Danc
 e  Competitions\, 3rd Place in the Federation of Dance Competitions' 201
 1  World Dance Championship Series in Dallas\, Highest Scoring Studio at
  the  2011 Star Systems National Competition in Myrtle Beach\, and 9th O
 verall  Studio Nationwide by Star Systems National Competition&rsquo\;s
