Build-A-Bear Grand Opening at Fair Oaks Mall

If you are looking for fun or a holiday present, check this out!

Come see the grand opening of Build-A-Bear Workshop.  It is in a different place in Fair Oaks Mall.  This store is now upstairs near Cartoon Cuts and Cheesecake Factory.

Build-A-Bear is a place where you make your own stuffed animals.  There are lots to pick out from bears to bunnies.  You are more likely to not grow out of your stuffed animal.

Laila, age 5, from Manassas, said she "is excited.  They have the best bunnies."  Her mom said they have 7 bunnies at home.  They heard about the grand opening from an email.

The new Build-A-Bear had clothes for the stuffed animals from Girl Scouts to local sports teams like the Washington Redskins.  There were even Army uniforms and new shoes.

Benjamin, age 8, from Fairfax, said they just came here for his birthday.  He picked his own wolf to stuff.  When Benjamin was asked what he thought of the store, he said "it's good".

You can even make your animal say stuff.  No matter what your animal says, it is neat.

Jourdan is the assistant manager, who use to work in the Tysons Corner Build-A-Bear.  She said this is the fifth store that has this design.  There will be one more that will open this year.

See how things have changed in this new store!  There are a lot more machines.   The new machines are so cool!

Jourdan said, there is a "new station this year where kids can put in a personality."

There were lots of giveaways during the grand opening weekend.  The first people who came were able to make stuffed animals for free and they were donated to different charities.

Caring Kids Cards thinks that is a great way to put a smile on someones face.  We might do a stuffed bear party one day and put the bears in care packages going to the military.

It is a place to be happy.  Have some fun.  If there are long lines do not worry.  People were excited to see the store open again.
