“We value the community support we receive at all of our locations, and are thrilled to help enhance education and arts programs in these areas,” said Cathy Poulin, public relations director, Bob’s Discount Furniture. “We encourage donations in all of our stores, and distribute this money to worthy schools and community organizations up and down the East Coast and Mid-Atlantic states.”

Every month, Bob’s randomly selects seven schools in the communities near its furniture stores and makes a donation of $1,000 to each one. This month, Bob’s Discount Furniture is supporting education and arts programs in Virginia with the cash awards. Bob’s has donated money to hundreds of schools over the past 20 years. Previous recipients have used the donations for such things as purchasing new art and classroom supplies, funding student activity groups and going on field trips.
