Several shuttle drivers stopped driving their buses Monday morning.

Several shuttle bus drivers went on strike at Dulles Airport on Monday morning.

Rob Yingling, spokesman for Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, said that at approximately 10:30 a.m. several buses stopped circulating along their normal route between the parking lots and the terminal.

Airport officials were able to replace the drivers and the buses which brought the route back to normal.

The strike did not have a "major impact for an extended period of time," said Yingling.

The bus drivers are employees of The Convention Store, which works with Standard Parking to provide shuttle service to the airport.  Michael Wolf, Executive Vice President of Standard Parking, said that the bus drivers acted on their own, without involvement of their union.
