26 Yorkies Rescued from a Puppy Mill by Chantilly Group

The Yorkies will be up for adoption soon.

A Chantilly-based dog rescue group helped save 26 Yorkshire Terriers from a puppy mill.

Over 100 were dogs found at an Alabama breeder’s home last week sleeping outside in metal cages, according to A Forever Home Rescue Foundation.

Many of the dogs were found dead due to having lived outside in the cold conditions, according to a blog published by the group

“We at AFH have seen a lot of terrible things, but this is one of the worst cases of neglect that we have ever seen,” the blog reads.

Two volunteers from the group drove down to Alabama to pick up the dogs Friday. By this weekend, the dogs were back in Northern Virginia and in foster care.
