Chantilly Named No. 7 on 'Best Cities in Virginia' List

Real estate blog Movoto has named Chantilly as one of the top places to live in Virginia.

Movoto is a California-based real estate research blog that ranks cities on various factors using data.

They analyzed the best cities in Virginia based on amenities per person, cost of living, crime, household income, diversity, and other factors (you can read their full report and methodology on their website).

Chantilly came in at No. 7 and the blog cited the area's low crime rate as one reason.

See how other nearby cities ranked:

  1. Centreville
  2. Tysons Corner
  3. McLean
  4. Annandale
  5. Oakton
  6. Alexandria
  7. Chantilly
  8. Reston
  9. Rose Hill (Fairfax County)
  10. Suffolk

Movoto needs to do some more research on Chantilly. While the Fairfax Chantilly is certainly very nice, Loudoun Chantilly is probably even nicer. If you click on the Chantilly link in the list, you get home listings in both 20151 and 20152. There is no indication in the writeup that Chantilly is in two counties.
