What's your heart's desire? A kitten? An airplane? Chocolate? A cure?

Where/When: Fairfax County Animal Shelter, during February
Why Go? Looking for something to cuddle? See if you can resist these fuzzy faces. The Fairfax County Animal Shelter is playing matchmaker this month, helping kittens and cats find their forever home.
Pricing: $30 (for cats) plus cost of spaying/neutering.- Award Winning Theatre
Where/When: Friday, Feb.11 at 7 p.m.
Why Go? This one-act play, , was the award-winner at the regional competition. Funny and original – not to be missed.
Pricing: Free - Chocolate for Charity
Where/When: Floris United Methodist Church (Herndon) Saturday, Feb. 12, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why go? Indulge in chocolate and feel good about it - proceeds from the event support various worthwhile charities. The whole family will enjoy games, inflatables, a silent auction, food, a raffle, card making and, of course, chocolate. (Donate a package of diapers for one free raffle ticket.)

Where/When: Heritage Hunt Golf and Country Club (Gainesville) Saturday, Feb. 12 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Why Go? Why indeed?! A local business, Glowing Pink, is involved in the charity and the evening. The ball will be a chance to have great fun and support a truly worthwhile organization.

Where/When: Westfield High School, Sunday, Feb. 13 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Why Go? Cool remote control airplanes. Hobby Hangar and the Northern Virginia Radio Control folks are holding an indoor fly-in at Westfield High School. If you have a radio control plane, bring it with you.
