High Fashion, Short Models

Little Lords and Ladies hosts spring fashion event.

Fashion Week doesn’t only happen in New York. This week the models took to the runway in Chantilly too.

A packed house at Little Lords and Ladies anxiously waited for the start of the Spring Fashion Show.

Much like fashion week in New York, there was backstage drama and plenty of flashbulbs as the models walked the red carpet.

Brian Meny, owner of Little Lords and Ladies, said the fashion show was the brainchild of his wife, Charlene.

“We were talking about how we could connect with the community and she came up with this marvelous idea.”

About 30 children signed up to be models, made their choices of what spring wear to model and then prepared to walk the runway.

Meny was the emcee of the event and had the children giggling and posing while they showed off the the clothes they were wearing. The theme was the Spring Fashion choices in the store right now (despite the ice and snow outside). Girls were in sundresses, boys in shorts and everyone got a boisterous round of applause.

Brian and Charlene weren’t sure about whether there would be a summer show, but the audience was enthusiastic about holding another fashion show soon.

Little Lords and Ladies (located near the Chantilly Academy for Dance/Gymnastics) is the area’s largest children’s consignment store. The store is well-organized, with a great selection. They also have  places for children to play while parents shop, in addition to .
