Thousands attended the 20th Annual Dulles Day Festival and Plane Pull Saturday. The event was held at Dulles International Airport to support Special Olympics Virginia.
People in attendance enjoyed games, food, an air show, a car show, music and more. Teams of 25 lined up to get their chance at pulling an 82-ton plane 12 feet, and spectators watched as they pulled a plane to support a cause. Children at the event also pulled a junk truck to help support Special Olympics Virginia.
President of Special Olympics Virginia, Rick Jeffrey, said the plane pull event usually brings in more than $150,000 a year.
