George Mason Ranked in List of Sierra Club's 'Cool Schools'

George Mason University was ranked No. 69 on the Sierra Club’s list of “Cool Schools.” There were 162 schools that were ranked based on their “commitment to environmentalism,” according to the Sierra Club. Mason was lauded for its “Green Patriot” program, an environmentally-minded student group at the university. Other schools in the D.C. area that were ranked included American University at No. 9, University of Maryland College Park at No. 13, and George Washington University at No. 23.
