Police Identify Chantilly Homicide Victim

Victim was killed by his younger brother, police say.

Police have identified the victim who died Tuesday after a melee at a Chantilly town house.

Haseeb Raza, 24, of Chantilly was fatally stabbed by his 20-year-old brother, according to a news release issued Thursday by Fairfax County Police.

Detectives determined that the 20-year-old suspect fatally stabbed his brother in the upper body. A second family member, 61 years old, was then stabbed in the upper body when he tried to intervene. The second victim was able to get away from the suspect and fled downstairs. It appears the suspect then shot himself in the upper body.

The second victim is recovering from his injuries. The suspect is being treated for his life-threatening injuries. No one else inside the home was involved or injured. This investigation is ongoing.
