Where to Buy a Powerball Ticket in Chantilly

Most grocery stores, convenience stores and gas stations sell tickets.

The Powerball jackpot is now up to a mind-blowing $500 million dollars.

That's half a billion dollars.

Lottery officials say there is a 60 percent (or better) chance that someone will win in Wednesday night’s drawing for the largest Powerball jackpot ever.

Tickets are themselves a hot-ticket item. Virginia Lottery spokesman John Hagerty said the state could see $6 million in Powerball ticket sales before the Wednesday evening drawing, with sales peaking between 5 - 7 p.m. as people come home from work. 

“Powerball and Mega Million are jackpot-driven games,” Hagerty said. “When people see that jackpot increase, it drives up sales.”
