CDC Official: International Traveler Exposed Others to Measles at Dulles Airport

Anyone at the airport on June 7 could have been exposed.

Anyone who was at Dulles International Airport June 7 may have been exposed to the measles, from an international traveler, according to a Centers for Disease Control official.

The CDC says anyone who was at the baggage claim or international terminal in the main building from 6-9 p.m. that day may have been exposed.

Symptoms of the disease include the telltale rash, a cough and fever.

Before any international travel, here's what you need to know about measles vaccines, according to the CDC:

  • Infants 6 months through 11 months of age should have 1 dose of measles vaccine.
  • Children 12 months of age or older should have 2 doses separated by at least 28 days.
  • Adolescents and Adults who have not had measles or been vaccinated should get 2 doses separated by at least 28 days.
