Award Winning Songwriters Kipyn Martin and Tony Denikos @ Amphora (Herndon) April 22

Mid-Atlantic Song Contest Award Winners Kipyn Martin and Tony Denikos appear in concert at Amphora Diner Deluxe Tuesday April 22.

Kipyn Martin is an emerging Mid-Atlantic singer/songwriter whose roots sink into the banks of the Shenandoah River. Her voice is gathering a reputation in the region, hailed by listeners as "an instrument of unrefined purity" (Tony S. - Leicester Bangs) and "the most pure voice I ever heard" (Karin Fuller - The Charleston Gazette). She plays festival stages in the Atlantic Coast region and delights audiences at vineyards, coffeehouses, and house concerts throughout the Shenandoah Valley and beyond. Kipyn's song "Nightbird" won a Gold Award as well as the Director's Choice Award in the 2013 Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. Kipyn also received international distinction in the 2013 UK Song Contest when "I Believe in You" from her debut album "Undercover Muse" earned a semi-finalist rating.

Maryland native Tony Denikos is one of the Mid-Atlantic region's contemporary songwriting treasures. A familiar face at local clubs, festivals & coffeehouses showcasing his foot-stomping backbeats, engaging melodies and "tastier than Texas BBQ" guitar work, he's won the hearts of those who appreciate great songwriting delivered with an honest and authentic voice. Tony describes his music as modern Americana with deep roots and has independently released four albums and appeared on two compilations. His song "Tip of My Tongue" won Grand Prize in the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Songwriting Contest.
