A "KNIGHT OUT" The John Champe High School Athletic Booster Club will be hosting its first annual Casino Knight fund raising event, from 7 to 11 p.m., Saturday, February 23 at International Country Club, 13200 Lee Jackson Highway, Fairfax, VA. The gaming event features a Texas hold'em tournament, craps, roulette, black jack, slots and more. There will also be a silent and a live auction including some great items like autographed Redskins footballs, a Nationals autographed baseball, tickets to Wolf Trap this season for Bill Cosby and "Rock of Ages," golf for four at International Country Club, in-home wine tastings given by area wineries like Chrysalis, a Champe sports family season pass, a family season pass to the Aldie Senators, a Dolphin Quest package, fitness club memberships, gift cards to area restaurants, themed gift baskets put together by JCHS student athletes, and much, much more. Tickets are $75 per person and are available in the John Champe High School Athletic office or online at www.champesports.com (click the BOOSTERS link and www.pay4schoolstuffonline.com). In addition, the Texas hold’em tournament is $25 per player. Admission tickets include $250 worth of chips and tokens, and all non-alcoholic beverages and food. The menu includes: Caesar salad, a carving station featuring pastrami with deli mustard, chicken with basil mayo and the country club chef's own pulled pork on pretzel roll sliders, raw bar with gulf shrimp and oysters, and assorted desserts. Proceeds from the event directly benefit all John Champe High School student athletes and athletic programs. John Champe High School, home of the Knights, 51535 Sacred Mountain Street, Aldie, Va., opened in August 2012. Sponsorships and advertising opportunities are also being sought for the gaming tables.
