Chantilly Man Charged with Hit and Run, Assault on a Police Officer, and Reckless Driving

Eric Demoulin was charged with reckless driving, speed to elude, hit and run, and assault on a police officer.

A 45-year-old Chantilly man is accused of trying to outrun police who tried to pull him over for a traffic stop.

The incident took place at about 2 p.m. on Nov. 14 on the 13000 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.

Police report that an officer tried to conduct a traffic stop on an Acura MDX, but the driver would not pull over. The pursuit ended on West Ox Road at an overpass, when the driver struck a police cruiser, authorities said.
