Chantilly Woman Charged for Alleged Assault of Police Officer

Police were called to a local restaurant for an individual acting drunk and disorderly. Police located the suspect and took her into custody.

A Chantilly woman was charged this weekend for assaulting a police officer after she was taken into custody for allegedly acting drunk and disorderly, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police say they were called to a restaurant at Sully Place Shopping Center in the 13900 block of Metrotech Drive Saturday at 2:02 a.m. 

Police were called to a local restaurant for an individual acting drunk and disorderly. Police located the suspect and took her into custody.

While at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, the suspect allegedly assaulted an officer several times. Melody M. Bailey, 45, of Chantilly was charged with assault on police and drunk in public, according to police.
