Dulles South Station Police Report: Ashburn Garage Burglar Suspect Apprehended

A summary of incidents reported for Feb. 19-25.

There was one burglary, one destruction of property incident, one larceny and one incident of vehicle tampering included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on Feb. 25. 

Burglary

  • At 7:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, deputies responded to the 41900 block of Blue Flag Terrace for a male subject who was observed inside the garage of a home. The subject fled on foot prior to the arrival of law enforcement. It was determined items were removed from the garage of a second home in the area. On Saturday, Feb. 25, , 20, of Aldie, was charged with two counts of burglary, grand larceny, destruction of property and two counts of underage possession of alcohol. Miles remains held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.   • Between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, unknown subject(s) wrote in black marker possible gang-related graffiti on the exterior of an apartment complex on the 22500 block of Armstrong Terrace. 

Larceny 

  • At noon on Thursday, Feb. 23, a victim was shopping at a grocery store on the 25000 block of Riding Plaza. They returned their shopping cart after unloading groceries and realized a purse was left in the cart. The purse was discovered missing from the cart. 

Vehicle Tampering

  • Between 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20 and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, unknown subject(s) drove a forklift at a construction site on the 25100 block of Crested Wheat Drive. The forklift was damaged during the incident.
