Dulles South Station Police Report: Grand Larceny in Aldie

A summary of incidents reported for March 4-10.

There was one burglary, two destruction of property incidents, two larcenies and one suspicious event included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on March 10.

Burglary

  • Between 10 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 9, a subject entered a residence on the 24600 block of Nettle Mill Square and removed jewelry and other items. The suspect was identified as Charles E. Steigerwald, 20, of Aldie. He was charged with burglary and grand larceny. He was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond. Destruction of Property

  • At 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, an unknown subject was observed damaging four tires to a vehicle near the intersection of Bull Run Post Office Road and Braddock Road. The subject, described as an unknown male, left the scene in a white pickup with a trailer attached.
  • Between 12:30 a.m. and noon on Thursday, March 8, unknown subject(s) placed an unknown substance on a vehicle on the 25200 block of Planting Field Drive.

Larcenies

  • At 10:32 a.m. on Sunday, March 4, unknown subject(s) entered three vehicles in the garage of a home on the 27200 block of Bridle Place. A wallet and its contents were taken.
  • Between 8 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 and 3 p.m. on Monday, March 5, unknown subject(s) removed gasoline from the gas tank of a vehicle on the 25200 block of Blackstone Court. Suspicious Event

  • Around midnight on Friday, March 9, a resident of the 24600 block of Byrne Meadow Square discovered their garage door had possibly been tampered with. No entry was gained. A second resident also reported their garage door had been tampered with. No entry was gained and nothing was reported missing or damaged.
