Dulles South Station Police Report: Gas Theft, Series of Vehicle Thefts in Aldie

A summary of incidents reported for Feb. 26-March 3.

There was one destruction of property incident, four larcenies and one traffic control incident included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on March 3. 

Destruction of Property 

  • Between noon on Friday, Feb. 24 and noon on Monday, Feb. 27, unknown subject(s) damaged a fence to an industrial site on the 26100 block of Lightridge Farm Road. Nothing was reported missing.  

Larcenies

  • A resident discovered unknown subject(s) had removed gasoline from the gas tank of their vehicle between 12:01 a.m. and 12:59 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 29 in the area of Glasgow Drive and Shannon Alley. It appears the gas cap was pried open.
  • Between 11 p.m. on Friday, March 2 and 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, unknown subject(s) entered three unlocked vehicles on the 23400 block of Spinning Wheel Court. An MP3 player was removed. 
  • Between 11 p.m. on Friday, March 2 and 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, unknown subject(s) entered an unlocked vehicle on the 23400 block of Roundup Place and removed a small amount of cash and a multi tool. 
  • Between 10 p.m. on Friday, March 2 and 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, unknown subject(s) entered a vehicle on the 23500 block of Roundup Place and removed an empty wallet.  

Traffic Control 

  • On Sunday, Feb. 26, Gum Spring Road was closed down for approximately two and a half hours near the intersection of Katebini Lane for traffic control as members of Loudoun County Fire, Rescue & Emergency Management worked a house fire. The home was not occupied. [Author’s Note: The Loudoun County Office of the Sheriff also listed this incident in the category of House Fire.]
