Dulles South Station Police Report: Leesburg Traffic Altercation Ends in Assault

A summary of incidents reported for Jan. 29-Feb. 4.

There was one assault, one auto crash, one destruction of property incident and two larcenies included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on Feb. 4. 

Assault

  • At 8:40 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, a 41-year-old Leesburg woman reported she was in a traffic altercation with a reckless driver. At the intersection of Lime Kiln Road and Route 15, both drivers exited their vehicles and became involved in a physical altercation. The victim declined to press charges in the incident.

  • A 2007 GMC Yukon was traveling northbound on Gum Spring Road at the intersection of Route 50 around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5. A 2008 Toyota Prius, that was westbound on Route 50, disregarded a stoplight and struck the Yukon. The driver of the Prius, a 63-year-old Purcellville woman, was airlifted to Inova Fairfax Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The Purcellville woman was charged with disregarding a stoplight.  

Destruction of Property 

  • Between 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 and 7 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, unknown subject(s) damaged the driver’s side and rear door of a vehicle on the 25400 block of Dabner Drive.  

Larcenies

  • Between 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 26 and 8:08 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, unknown subject(s) removed metal frames and other construction materials from a construction site on the 41600 block of St. Albans Terrace. 
  • Between 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2 and 8 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, unknown subject(s) removed tools from a locked trailer on the 24000 block of Youngwood Lane.
