Dulles South Station Police Report: Stolen Food Delivery Vehicle Recovered in Prince William County

A summary of incidents reported for August 4-10.

There was one auto theft, four destruction of property incidents, three larcenies and one tampering with a vehicle incident included in the Dulles South Station Daily Crime Reports for the week ending on August 10.  

Auto Theft 

  • A 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 6 in the 43000 block of Peacock Market Plaza. It was reported that the victim was a food delivery person who had left their keys in the vehicle. When they returned, the vehicle was missing. The vehicle was later recovered in Prince William County. 

Destruction of Property

  • A glass patio table on the 42600 block of Harris Street was damaged between Sunday, July 31 and Thursday, August 4. 
  • At 11:37 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, unknown subject(s) damaged the lock of a storage shed, on the 26100 block of Lightridge Farm Road, belonging to Dominion Power in an apparent attempt to gain entry. Nothing was reported missing.
  • Between 9 a.m. on Monday, August 8 and 6:35 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9, unknown subject(s) vandalized several construction vehicles on the 20400 block of Gleedsville Road by discharging a firearm at their windshields and tires.
  • Unknown subject(s) damaged the window of an exterior door on the 41500 block of Sacred Mountain Street between 8 p.m. on Monday, August 8 and 8 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9. 

Larcenies 

  • Unknown subject(s) removed a digital camera from an unlocked vehicle on the 25000 block of Kingscote Court between 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 7 and 6:10 a.m. on Monday, August 8. 
  • Unknown subject(s) removed a digital camera from a vehicle on the 25200 block of Oribi Place around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, August 8. A neighbor observed two subjects walking in the area. They later learned their vehicle was entered and sunglasses were removed. 
  • Unknown subject(s) removed a boys bicycle from outside a residence on the 25900 block of Sarazen Drive between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday, August 8.  

Tampering with a Vehicle

  • A resident of the 24200 block of Knollbrook Place heard their car alarm activate between 12:15 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9. The vehicle was locked and nothing was reported missing.
