Fair Oaks District Police Report: 29-Year-Old Fairfax Man Charged with Assault and Battery, Burglary, Destruction of Property

A summary of incidents reported for Dec. 1-7.

 

For the week ending on Dec. 7, there was one major incident, 12 larcenies, one vehicle theft and one Animal Control incident included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. 

Major Incident

  • BURGLARY/DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/ASSAULT AND BATTERY/ARREST: Police arrested a man for allegedly entering a 29-year-old man’s home in the 4100 block of Summit Heights Way and threatening to assault him around 12:41 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1. Jason Hatzenbueler, 29, of 4104 Summit Heights Way #307 in Fairfax, was charged with assault and battery, burglary and destruction of property. The victim was not injured. 

Larcenies 

  • 3600 block of Beech Down Drive: Jewelry stolen from vehicle
  • 9500 block of Blake Lane: Laptop computer stolen from residence
  • 3000 block of Borge Street: Medicine stolen from residence
  • 2000 block of Chain Bridge Road: Identification stolen from vehicle
  • 13000 block of Dunhill Drive: Wallet stolen from school
  • 12900 block of Fair Lakes Shopping Center: Bicycle stolen from business
  • 11800 block of Fair Oaks Shopping Center: Bracelet stolen from business
  • 13300 block of Franklin Farm Road: Cash stolen from business
  • 11700 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway: iPhone stolen from business
  • 13800 block of Park Center Road: Computer bag stolen from business
  • 13800 block of Redskin Drive: License plates stolen from vehicle
  • 11200 block of Waples Mill Road: Purse stolen from vehicle

  • 11300 block of Aristotle Drive: 1999 Saab 900 

Animal Control 

  • RABIES VECTOR: Animal Control officers responded to a home in the 11000 block of Vale Road in Oakton for a report of three Sharpei dogs that attacked a raccoon around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1. The dogs were given booster shots and quarantined for 45 days. The raccoon was sent to the health department for rabies testing.
