Fair Oaks District Police Report: Attempted Burglary at Lees Corner Elementary, Police Search for Serial Cutter

A summary of incidents reported for July 21-27.

For the week ending on July 27, there were two major incidents, nine larcenies and no vehicle thefts included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. 

 

Major Incidents

  • ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: There was an attempted burglary at Lees Corner Elementary School, located at 13500 Hollinger Avenue, around 11:10 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. An investigation determined entry was not gained into the school and the suspects caused damage to structures on the school’s exterior.  
  • *ASSAULT SERIES: Police are investigating reports of a man who follows young women in retail stores, cuts them and slips away. So far this summer the suspect, a 5’ 6” Hispanic man in his late 20s, has attacked women at Fair Oaks Mall, Greenbriar Shopping Center, and Tysons Corner Center. Read the full story .

  • 3900 block of Centerview Drive: Drills stolen from vehicle
  • 11000 block of Devinish Drive: Jewelry stolen from residence
  • 11700 block of Fair Oaks Shopping Center: Merchandise stolen from business
  • 12300 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway: Wallet stolen from business
  • 2400 block of Little Current Drive: Tools stolen from vehicle
  • 12900 block of Starters Lane: GPS and wallet stolen from vehicle
  • 3000 block of White Birch Court: Camera stolen from residence
  • 3300 block of Willow Crescent Drive: Package stolen from residence
