Fair Oaks District Police Report: Backyard Bar & Grill Employee Nearly Abducted by Illegal Alien

A summary of incidents reported for Jan. 5-11.

 

For the week ending on Jan. 11, there was one major incident, 10 larcenies and two vehicle thefts included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report.

  • ABDUCTION/POSSESSION OF A FIREARM IN THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY/POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A NON-CITIZEN/POSSESSION OF FALSE DOCUMENTS/BRANDISHING A WEAPON/DRUNK IN PUBLIC/ARREST: Police arrested a man for allegedly brandishing a gun and grabbing a 25-year-old woman working at the Backyard Bar & Grill at 13999 Metrotech Drive around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9. Moris A. Rivera Vasquez, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with abduction, brandishing a firearm, possession of false documents, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a non-citizen and drunk in public. The victim did not require medical attention.

  • 13000 block of Fair Lakes Shopping Center: Dog stolen from business
  • 12000 block of Fair Oaks Shopping Center: Wallet stolen from business
  • 12000 block of Government Center Parkway: Laptop computer stolen from business
  • 12300 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway: Cell phone stolen from business
  • 4200 block of Members Way: Cash stolen from residence
  • 10600 block of Page Avenue: License plate stolen from vehicle
  • 13800 block of Park Center Road: Three speakers stolen from business
  • 11300 block of Random Hills Road: iPhone stolen from business 
  • 11300 block of Random Hills Road: Wallet stolen from business
