Fair Oaks District Police Report: Burglary on Rembrandt Way

A summary of incidents reported for April 12-18.

For the week ending on April 18, there was one major incident, five larcenies, no vehicle thefts and one animal control incident included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report.

Major Incident

  • BURGLARY: At 7 p.m. on Friday, April 13, officers responded to the 13800 block of Rembrandt Way for a burglary alarm. Forced entry was made through a rear door and nothing was taken. It appears the suspect fled when the audible alarm rang out. 

Larcenies

  • 11200 block of James Swart Circle: Keys stolen from vehicle
  • 3200 block of Jermantown Road: Wallet stolen from business
  • 4100 block of Middle Ridge Drive: Electronic tablet/iPad stolen from residence
  • 11600 block of Monument Drive: Beer, food and flowers stolen from vehicle
  • 2500 block of Wasser Terrace: Purse stolen from vehicle

Animal Control

  • ANIMAL BITE/RUNNING AT LARGE: At 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, the victim was driving along the 11800 block of Waples Mill Road when she saw several dogs running in the street. She attempted to identify the dogs by their collars when one, a shaggy black dog, bit her once. She received minor injuries. More animal control reports for Fairfax County can be found .
