Fair Oaks District Police Report: Fairfax Woman Charged in Fatal Crash, 14-Year-Old Boy Assaulted

A summary of incidents reported for July 28-August 3.

For the week ending on August 3, there were three major incidents, six larcenies and one vehicle theft included in the Fair Oaks District Activity Report. 

Major Incidents

  • *FATAL CRASH: A Fairfax woman involved in a two-vehicle crash was charged with failing to yield right of way. On Tuesday, June 28 around 5:50 p.m., Tiffany Segreti, 27, of 3565 Chain Bridge Road, was attempting to make a left turn onto Shirley Gate Road when she struck a pickup truck, which became airborne. The driver of the pickup, Charles R. Blevins, 64, died on July 1 from the injuries he sustained following the collision. Segreti was uninjured. Read the .   
  • ROBBERY: Two men assaulted and robbed a 14-year-old boy in the 4200 block of Monument Wall Way around 10:10 p.m. on Friday, July 29. The suspects were described as black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 165 pounds. One suspect was about 19 years old. The victim was treated at the scene for minor injuries.  
  • *UPDATE: SIMPLE ASSAULT SERIES: Police received a report on Monday, August 1 from a 21-year-old woman who may be the sixth victim in a string of assaults that have taken place in retail stores since February. Read the full story .

  • 2400 block of Brook Overlook Court: Checks, credit card and social security card stolen from vehicle
  • 3000 block of Chain Bridge Road: Laptop computer stolen from school
  • 12600 block of Fair Lakes Circle: Camera stolen from residence
  • 13000 block of Fair Lakes Shopping Center: Cosmetics and nail polish stolen from business
  • 4200 block of Marly Garden Lane: Bicycle stolen from residence
  • 9800 block of Sweet Mint Drive: Debit card stolen from residence 

Vehicle Theft

  • 4100 block of Fountainside Lane: 2009 Toyota RAV4
