Police: Assault on Police Reported Sunday in Chantilly

The most recent report of Sully District crime reported through Sunday, Oct. 6, from the Fairfax County Police was released Monday, Oct. 7. Here are the most recent incidents reported in the Sully District. 

ASSAULT ON POLICE, 4786 Stringfellow Road, Oct. 6, 6:40 a.m. An officer observed a 2004 Toyota Sienna partially blocking the travel lanes of Stringfellow Road and made contact with the driver. The driver refused to move her vehicle and subsequently refused to sign a traffic summons. The driver was arrested and during the arrest, assaulted the officer. Michele Zamarra Givens, 49, of Centreville was charged with resisting arrest, assault on law enforcement officer and stopping on a highway.

BURGLARY, 14000 block of Edman Road, Oct. 4. A resident reported someone entered the home and took property.

BURGLARY, 13800 block of Lee Highway, Oct. 4. An alarm at this location summoned police where it was discovered someone entered the store and took property. Forced entry was made through a window.
