Sheriff Investigating Possible Assault of Girl, 11, in South Riding Area

Suspect is described as Hispanic with 'messy' hair wearing torn jeans.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible assault of a child that took place Tuesday night in the South Riding neighborhood, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

Around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, an 11-year-old child was walking in the area of the 43600 block of Mink Meadows Street when she was reportedly grabbed by an unknown male. The subject was described as Hispanic with dark "messy" hair and was wearing a dark hoodie and torn jeans. The child ran home to safety and did not require medical treatment.

Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene and a perimeter was established. A search of the area was conducted with the assistance of the Fairfax County Police Department. No suspect was located.
