Stone Ridge Family Loses Home Due to Fire

Donations are being collected to help the family with immediate needs.

Fire and Rescue units from Dulles South, Arcola-Pleasant Valley, Aldie, Leesburg, Fairfax County and Prince William County responded to a two-alarm fire at a single-family home at 41821 Cordgrass Circle Sunday night.

The fire was ruled accidental by the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office due to a gas grill exploding on the back deck.  The house was deemed a total loss with damages estimated at $600,000.  

One firefighter and a civilian were transported to the hospital. The firefighter sustained a heat-related illness while the civilian had a leg injury.

Two adults and two children were displaced from the home. They are currently staying with family members.
