Sully District Police Report: Centreville Home Burglarized, Woman Robbed at Knifepoint on Route 50

A summary of incidents reported for June 23-29.

For the week ending on June 29, there were two major incidents, seven larcenies, and no vehicle thefts included in the Sully District Activity Report.  

Major Incidents 

  • BURGLARY: A home in the 5600 block of Powers Lane was burglarized on Friday, June 24 some time between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. An investigation determined entry was forced into the home and electronic items, jewelry, purses and other small items were missing.

  • ROBBERY: A man robbed a 29-year-old woman at knifepoint around 9:20 p.m. on Friday, June 24 in the 13600 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway. The suspect stole her purse and fled. He was described as black, about 20 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 165 pounds, wearing a white tank top and dark jeans. The victim did not require medical attention.

  • 14600 block of Algretus Drive: Tools stolen from vehicle
  • 14700 block of Basingstoke Loop: Tools stolen from vehicle
  • 5900 block of Fairview Woods Drive: Cell phone stolen from business
  • 5200 block of Glen Meadow Drive: Tools stolen from vehicle
  • 15000 block of Kamputa Drive: Golf clubs stolen from vehicle
  • 13600 block of Stepney Lane: Jewelry stolen from residence
  • 15300 block of Worth Court: Wedding ring stolen from residence
