Sully District Police Report: Clifton Woman Assaults Officer at Traffic Stop

A summary of incidents reported for Feb. 2-8.

For the week ending on Feb. 8, there was one major incident, 10 larcenies and no vehicle thefts included in the Sully District Activity Report.

Major Incident

  • ASSAULT: At 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, an officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway and Lees Corner Road and arrested the driver, Eileen A. Griffin, 50, of Clifton. Griffin allegedly became belligerent and fought the officer. She was subsequently charged with assault on a police officer, open container and driving while intoxicated.

  • 14900 block of Bogle Drive: Fuel stolen from vehicles
  • 4500 block of Briarton Drive: Ceramic figurine stolen from residence
  • 14300 block of Chantilly Crossing Lane: Cash stolen from business 
  • 14300 block of Chantilly Crossing Lane: Purse stolen from business
  • 13600 block of Lee Highway: Landscaping rocks stolen from business
  • 14500 block of Lee Jackson Memorial Highway: Beer stolen from business
  • 4900 block of Stonecroft Boulevard: Tools stolen from vehicle
  • 4400 block of Stringfellow Road: Sneakers and chocolate stolen from residence
  • 14200 block of Sullyfield Circle: Credit card stolen from business
  • 4700 block of Pleasant Valley Road: Purse stolen from business
