Sully District Police Report: Clifton Woman Charged With Three Counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor

For the week ending on Feb. 29, there was one major incident, three larcenies and no vehicle thefts included in the Sully District Activity Report.

Major Incident

• DRUNK IN PUBLIC: At 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, officers responded to a residence on the 1200 block of Yates Ford Road for a report of a large party at the home. Police charged homeowner Melanie Smith, 49, of Clifton with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Another party guest, Mark Hughes, 55, of Fairfax Station was also charged with drunk in public, possession of alcohol and obstruction of justice. 

Larcenies

• 4900 block of Stonecroft Boulevard: License plate stolen from vehicle
• 5700 block of Union Mill Road: Alcohol stolen from vehicle
• 4100 block of Westfax Drive: Tools stolen from vehicle
