Sully District Weekly Police Report

A summary of incidents reported for May 12-18.

For the week ending on May 18, there were three major incidents, six larcenies and one vehicle theft reported in the Sully District.

Major Incidents

  • GRAFFITI: Someone spray-painted along a fence in the 4000 block of Flagg Court some time between 7 p.m. on Monday, May 9 and 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, May 12.
  • BURGLARY: A home in the 13900 block of Rockland Village Drive was burglarized between 6:30 a.m. and just after noon on Thursday, May 12. An investigation determined entry was forced through a window and video game equipment, a laptop computer, watch and a pair of shoes appeared to be missing.
  • *HOMICIDE: Police are continuing to investigate leads surrounding the homicide of Jose Cardona, 39, of Manassas on May 17, 2010. In an effort to seek new information from the public, detectives released a 20 second segment of the 9-1-1 dispatch call that airs the voice of the murderer. Police are hopeful that someone will recognize the voice as they have exhausted many of their initial leads over the past year. Police are also releasing a photo of the white pick-up truck that they believe suspects used to flee the murder scene. Cardona worked as a gardener and a handyman for residents of a home on Compton Road in the Centreville area.
