Ask the Candidates: Virginia's 10th Congressional District

Patch is collecting reader questions to be answered by candidates in Virginia's 10th Congressional District.

Are you concerned about transportation funding? Sequestration or federal government cutbacks? The environment? Traffic in Northern Virginia? The cost of health care?

Now is your chance to step up to the podium and get your questions answered.

As we approach November's election, we will be asking candidates for U.S. Congress in Virginia's 10th District — incumbent Frank Wolf, Democrat Kristin Cabral and Independent Kevin Chisholm — to answer a Patch candidates' survey.

The survey will be driven by questions from you.

You can submit your questions in the comments section below this article, or email them to nicole.trifone@patch.com.

The deadline to submit a question is 11:59 p.m. Oct. 14. We'll review all the submissions, pass questions along to the candidates and come back with the answers later this month.

Look Wolf is only going to blame MWAA for everything because it distracts the public from him not doing his job. It's his job to get funding from the federal government. It's his job to talk to LaHood and McDonald to fund this project. He is a joke. This MWAA dysfunctional crap coming from a dysfunctional member of congress is a joke. But the joke is on all of us for electing this idiot. He needs to go. Please vote him out of office. 32 years in congress and we all wonder why nothing changes. Wake up people. No more Wolf!

I often wonder and maybe one of these two candidates can explain why the industry along the Dulles Toll Road and Silver line do not have any input into the expense of building the Silver line??? They benefit from all of this, I would think they do.....

Frank Wolf is the one who did the most to show us what was going on at MWAA. That said, he has said NOTHING about the excessive pricetags on this Silver Line (Dulles rail) project. The construction prices appear to be almost two times what they should be. I'm not sure that his competitors will even question such things at all. If so, then let's see some action! Isn't it obvious that the near-double price of the Silver Line job is causing most of the economic dificulties this project has? I'd like to see the candidates comment on the facts presented in ths article: http://www.bruhns.us/civic/DullesRail/Dulles-Rail---Silver-Line-overcost-report---Bruhns.pdf

I wonder if citizens in Prince William County are aware that there are three candidates running for the 10th Congressional District (where Wolf is the incumbent) and that the one debate held in the area (May 26) will only include two of the candidates. The PW County Committee of 100 is not inviting the third candidate (me). Therefore, all those persons attending the debate will not have an opportunity to know more about me. I am a no nonsense professional engineer with much knowledge of the Federal government from 31 years experience in Northern Virginia. I am not a professional politician and talker extraordinare. I am very concerned about the future of the United States and the lack of honest leadership. I suggest you contact the PWC Committee of 100 to indicate your preference for my inclusion, if that is what you want.
