Chantilly's TASC, Inc. Appoints Chief Technology Officer

Keith Littlefield, former chief information officer at National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, named to position.

TASC, Inc., located at 4805 Stonecroft Blvd., in Chantilly, has appointed Keith Littlefield , former chief information officer at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA), the company's chief technology officer. 

In this role, Littlefield will assume leadership of TASC's technology strategy as well as oversee its independent research and development and technical fellows programs.

"Keith will use his deep insight into our customers' technical challenges and the federal acquisition process to help TASC anticipate and respond quickly to emerging customer needs," says David Langstaff , president and chief executive officer of TASC. "His expertise will help us continue to strengthen our long-standing partnership with our national security and public safety customers to help them innovate and succeed."

As NGA's chief information officer, Littlefield was responsible for planning, managing and protecting all GEOINT information technology. Most notably, he was one of six federal CIOs selected to help deliver a common infrastructure across the Intelligence Community, a groundbreaking initiative heavily dependent on technology and acquisition expertise. During the course of his 30-year career, Littlefield has garnered numerous awards, including the Director of National Intelligence Superior Service Medal, Presidential Rank Award of Distinguished Executive, and NGA Distinguished Civilian Service Award. 

Littlefield earned a Ph.D. in advanced geographic information systems from the University of Maryland at College Park; an M.A. in urban and environmental planning as a Thomas Jefferson Fellow at the University of Virginia; and a B.A. in economics and geography at Mary Washington College.
