Free Tax Help Available Saturday in Herndon

Congressman Connolly will greet constituents and volunteer experts will be on hand to help taxpayers who earned $57,000 or less in 2012.

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-11th) on Saturday will visit the Herndon Resource Center, 1086 Elden St., where eligible Virginians can receive free assistance with the preparation and filing of their taxes.

The meet and greet begins at 10 a.m.

As he meets with taxpayers, Connolly will help highlight the ways they can save at tax time. In addition to the free assistance at the volunteer site, he will highlight the IRS and VA Free File programs that help taxpayers eligible file their federal and state taxes using name-brand tax software for free.
