Chantilly Library Completes Renovations

After several years of planning, the Chantilly Regional Library is now more efficient and user-friendly.

The community gathered at the to celebrate the completion of renovations made possible by volunteer members of Friends of Chantilly Regional Library.

The project occured in two phases with the first one beginning in November 2010. Phase One included rearranging the children's room, magazine area, "Holds Pick Up" area and the information desk. Phase Two began in December 2011 and involved constructing a new circulation desk and moving its location to the area in front of the book return. New carpet will also be installed in April.

Friends of Chantilly Regional Library raised $163,000 for the renovations over several years by holding biannual book sales. The organization will be holding its Spring 2012 Book Sale Thursday, April 26-Sunday, April 29.
