Local Officials Holding Massive Truck Inspection
Several trucks have been pulled over in the area to be inspected at E.C. Lawrence Park.
Motor Carrier Safety (MCS) officers are inspecting trucks at that were pulled over on Route 28 and surrounding roadways today until 1 p.m.
Officers involved in the inspection are from Fairfax County, Virginia State Police, Fairfax City, Prince William and Loudoun counties, Town of Herndon, Fort Belvoir and the Department of Motor Vehicles
During a similar inspection last year, 22 of the 61 trucks inspected were removed from service due to serious violations which involved brakes, licensures, lighting, steering components and other infractions.
