Company Moving Its Headquarters to Chantilly
Government services firm will relocate to area in 2015.
In a budget-saving move, SRA International will move its headquarters from Fair Lakes to Chantilly, according to a recent story in The Washington Post.
The government services firm will move into 165,000 square feet of office space in 2015, when it leases space in the Westfields office park on Conference Center Drive.
The Post reports the space, 15036 Conference Center Dr., is about 35 percent less space than what SRA has at its current Fair Lakes headquarters, located at 4300 Fair Lakes Ct. in Fairfax.

The office vacancy rate in the southern end of the Route 28 corridor in the first quarter was 15.4 percent, among the highest in the region, according to Jones Lang LaSalle, the Post reported.
A comment on the Post article notes that by moving from Fair Lakes to Chantilly, employees won't have many dining options for lunch and will suffer from traffic gridlock during their commutes.
