Teens had the opportunity to learn about market research strategies at a recent market research event at Tysons Corner Center.
Entrepreneurship students from Chantilly Academy and Marshall Academy, as well as Tysons Classroom on the Mall students participated in Taking Stock with Teens, hosted by investment bank and management firm Piper Jaffray.
According to Fairfax County Public Schools, students learned about market research strategies used by major retailers and financial planning companies, and had the opportunity to conduct research of their own. Students visited several merchants to report on customer service, merchandise, and overall impressions of the stores.
Students then reported their findings and made recommendations to Piper Jaffray about stores that they felt were on trend and those they felt would be a good investment for clients.
