Jersey Mike's Raises Over $2K for Westfield High

The new Chantilly restaurant raised the funds over five days during opening week.

During opening week of the , the restaurant raised $2,500 from its customers for the Athletic Booster Club (WABC) and donated a banner for the baseball field.

The fundraiser was kicked off with a grand opening on Wednesday, Feb. 8 and continued through Sunday, Feb. 12.

“It’s crucial to contribute to local programs that are subject to the budget cuts in this economy,” said Pat White, owner of the Chantilly Jersey Mike's. “This funding deficit in tandem with my long-standing relationship with WABC made the choice of this partnership without question.”

"Pat and his team are energetic, motivated, very community-minded and ready to give back to the local community of which they are a part and which supports their business," said Dr. Frank Giancola, WABC executive board member.

Dr. Giancola said that the funds will be added to the Booster Club's general operating fund. One of the projects that the organization has planned will include a new scoreboard and message board for the outdoor sports complex.
