Boys Basketball (4-2):
Playing two games in two days, the Chargers defeated Yorktown (61-54) and Jefferson (67-39) on Dec. 15 and 16. The two victories pushed Chantilly’s win streak to four. Bryan Sydnor (18.5 ppg) scored 18 points while Deandre Harris drained four three-pointers in the team’s win over Yorktown.

On Dec. 20, McLean defeated the Chargers 63-57 to snap the win streak. Three McLean players scored in double digits as the Highlanders used 17-point second and fourth quarters to squeeze out the win.

JV Basketball (5-1):
JV basketball went 3-0 last week, defeating Yorktown (42-40), Thomas Jefferson (61-41) and McLean (54-21). The Chargers own a four-game win streak and haven’t lost since Dec. 6 when Madison defeated the team 47-38.

Girls Basketball (6-3):
Chantilly won its sixth game of the season on Dec. 20 as the Chargers defeated McLean 48-29. Katrina Hutzell and Lauren Mashinski both scored 12 points in the contest. The stingy Charger defense held McLean to just 2 points in the game’s fourth quarter.
Chantilly also defeated Thomas Jefferson 62-31 on Dec. 16.

JV Girls Basketball (4-1):
The Chargers defeated Thomas Jefferson 44-15 on Dec. 16. The defense held opposing teams to 15 points for two consecutive games while outscoring opponents 99 to 30.
Up Next: Chantilly hosts McLean on Jan. 6 at 5:45 p.m.
Swim and Dive:
The Chantilly boys and girls swim and dive teams both enjoyed wins over Robinson on Dec. 16. The boys defeated Robinson 177-138 while the girls won 171-143.
Just one day later, both squads defeated Westfield. The boys 180-135, the girls 166-143.
